Na|pier's bones
Na|pier's bones or Na|pier's rods «NAY pee uhrz»,
a device for multiplying and dividing, consisting of narrow pieces of wood or other material which are separated into compartments marked with certain digits. It was invented by the Scottish mathematician John Napier and was used according to a method devised by him.
